Chris Sheaffer, Ph.D.
A licensed psychologist in North Carolina, Dr. Sheaffer earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg, Mississippi; a master’s degree from Western Carolina University in Cullowhee, North Carolina; and an undergraduate degree in psychology from Wake Forest University. He has been a psychologist in Winston-Salem for more than 30 years.
Dr. Sheaffer’s therapy practice is limited to children, and he is especially interested in helping children with anxiety, ADHD, and high-functioning autism. He conducts evaluations for giftedness, ADHD, learning disabilities, and specific neurocognitive challenges. He is also a forensic examiner and provides evaluations for the state of North Carolina regarding parenting capacity and conducts family evaluations in cases of suspected abuse.
Dr. Sheaffer and his wife, Cindy, are the proud parents of two adult children and a rescue dog named Ike. When he is not working, Dr. Sheaffer enjoys teaching and training in martial arts at Japan Karate Institute.
